Allison Docker earned a B.S. in Horticulture from Texas A&M University in 2003, and went on to receive her Masters in Landscape Architecture from UT Austin in 2008. Soon after completing her Master’s degree, she worked for several years as a design professional in Houston, and then for the past 10+ years in the DFW region. In 2018, she joined the team at Near Southside Inc, a non-profit organization dedicated to the on-going revitalization of the Near Southside District in Fort Worth, Texas. Allison is a licensed landscape architect, and as the Director of Urban Design and Placemaking for NSI, she advocates for sensitive development and growth for the highly walkable, mixed-use and vibrant, urban neighborhood. Her interest in the human experience within the outdoor environment, coupled with her natural creativity, bring a thoughtful and passionate approach to each project she works on. Allison works hand-in-hand with city staff, community advocates, business owners, and private developers to build a healthy and equitable urban neighborhood in Fort Worth, Texas.
